Aesha was last seen on November 30, 2000, at her residence in the 1600 block of North 56th Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Her two-year-old son, Amaru, disappeared with her. Several weeks later, Amaru was found abandoned on the doorstep of Liberty Temple Church in Newark, New Jersey. He could not provide details about where he had been or who left him at the church. Aesha, however, has never been heard from again. After Amaru was returned to his motherโs family, he reportedly told relatives that he had witnessed her murder. According to his account, Aesha had been in a fight with someone at her home, during which the individual struck her and hit her with a rock, causing her death. Amaru also named the alleged perpetrator, but this personโs identity has not been publicly disclosed. At the time of her disappearance, Aesha lived in a boarding house on North 56th Street, which was operated by her fatherโs half-brother, Charles Dockins. The two reportedly were known to argue frequently. Following Aeshaโs disappearance, Dockins told her family that she had left his house voluntarily.
