On August 14, 2005, Jones met Brian Lee Westfall at the Hillsboro Civic Center horse show grounds in Hillsboro, Missouri. She was last seen in the parking lot around 5:00 p.m. that day. Her vehicle was later found in the parking lot. While her purse was inside the car, her keys, wallet, and phone were missing and have never been recovered. Jones, who was pregnant, had met Westfall to discuss his potential involvement in the child’s life. Westfall denied paternity and told police they spoke in the parking lot for several hours before he left between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. However, police questioned his account, as he initially told Jones’s mother they had lunch together at a nearby restaurant. Jones is divorced and left behind a young child. Her former husband is not considered a suspect in her case, and he died in November 2007. Westfall passed away of natural causes in December 2021. Jones remains missing, and no evidence suggests she checked into a hospital to deliver her baby.
