Fowler lost her apartment, vehicle, and many of her belongings when a tornado struck her hometown of Joplin, Missouri, in May 2011. Following the disaster, she relocated to a FEMA trailer. Her family last heard from her on July 7, 2012. That morning her mother went to the trailer to pick her up, but no one was home. Authorities believe Fowler may be with her boyfriend, Dennis Dewayne Gideon Jr. He is described as a Caucasian male, 5’8” tall, with a date of birth of January 6, 1980, making him 32 years old at the time, the same age as Fowler. While Gideon has not been reported missing, his family has also not heard from him. Reports suggest that Fowler and Gideon moved to Stevens County, Washington, in June 2013. Their last known residence was an apartment in Spokane, Washington, and they may still be in Spokane or the Spokane Valley area. The circumstances surrounding their disappearance remain unclear.
