Anthony's case is kind all over the place and its confusing. Prior to his disappearance, one of Anthonys friends stated that they had been in McAlester Oklahoma at the friends uncles house. Once the police came looking for the boys, the uncle told them to leave. Later on, it was found that the police could never confirm that Anthony was even in Oklahoma. Whats more, is that the Texas Department of Safety is actually involved in this case, though I could not figure out why exactly. Originally the case was classified as a run away. In 1980, it was classified as a Missing Persons case, now it is classified as foul play suspected. In 1996, the Fort Smith Police station was destroyed in a tornado and many of the records associated with the case were destroyed. According to SWTimes Record News, Anthony's mother Marilyn Allen, stated that someone called Anthony's sister claiming to be Anthony. The caller stated that he was in Hartshorne, Oklahoma. Following this call, Marilyn went to Hartshorne to search the town but found nothing. The town of Hartshorne is a small town and everyone knows everyone, so their would be no reason for Anthony to hide out in that town especially for this long. In recent years, not much has came to light in the case and Anthony is still classified as missing.
