Betty Alexander was last seen in Sullivan, Missouri, on April 10, 2019. Her neighbor saw her gardening that afternoon, and it’s believed she took her 7:00 p.m. medication, as it wasn’t found later. She disappeared sometime between the evening of April 10 and the morning of April 11, when she missed her morning dose and has not been heard from since. Alexander’s glasses were on a recliner, and her purse, containing her wallet, medications, and state ID, was in the closet. Inside the purse was $200 in cash, $100 in two envelopes, the origin of which her daughter could not explain, as she handled her mother’s finances after her husband’s death. One item was missing: a box of fentanyl patches, which had been delivered on April 10. She used the patches for back pain, and while one box was missing, the other was still in the apartment. Alexander’s daughter reported that her mother did not drive and did not have a cellphone. Her case remains unsolved.
