Anderson was last seen in Battle Creek, Michigan, on June 20, 2005. At approximately 1:45 a.m., he was a passenger in a vehicle involved in a collision with two other cars on Interstate 94, just east of the Galesburg Exit 88 and across the Kalamazoo County line. At the time of the incident, Anderson had been drinking and was facing a misdemeanor warrant. Following the crash, he fled the scene on foot, heading into the wooded area near Fort Custer. Despite an extensive search of the area, no trace of Anderson was ever found. The driver of the vehicle also fled but was apprehended shortly after. Anderson left behind an infant daughter. His disappearance remains unsolved.
