Brian Shaffer, a second-year medical student at Ohio State University, was last seen on April 1, 2006, at the Ugly Tuna Saloona, a bar near campus, celebrating the start of spring break. He was there with friends and was last seen talking to two women before disappearing. Security footage shows him entering but not leaving the bar. His car was found parked near his apartment, and his personal belongings, including his phone and bank accounts, have not been used since his disappearance. Shaffer was scheduled to fly to Miami for spring break with his girlfriend, but he missed the flight, prompting his family to report him missing. Despite his recent loss of his mother to cancer, those close to him said he was not suicidal. In the months following his disappearance, there were no significant leads, and his case remains unsolved.
