Summary:

Chloie Leverette and her half-brother, Christopher, were last seen on September 23, 2012. The children resided with their grandparents, Leon β€œBubba” McClaran and Molli McClaran, in the 700 block of Kingman Road. Later that night, at approximately 9:30 p.m., a devastating fire engulfed the McClarans’ home, completely destroying the property and tragically claiming the lives of the grandparents. Despite a thorough search of the wreckage, authorities found no trace of Chloie or Christopher, nor their remains. Investigators did recover the remains of the family’s pets, a miniature poodle and a cockatoo. The cause of the fire remains undetermined. Although the county sheriff initially suggested it was likely accidental, investigators discovered over thirty propane tanks in the basement, some of which had ruptured. However, there was no evidence of an explosion. Initially, authorities believed that Chloie and Christopher may have died in the fire. However, forensic anthropologists who examined the scene found no evidence to support this conclusion.
