Dana Bruce was last seen on October 4, 2008, in Sedalia, Missouri. That evening, she dropped her two children off at their babysitter’s home before going out for the night. Bruce was seen at Malone’s Bar on Main Street in Sedalia. She was accompanied by a young man driving a late-model red Ford F-150 truck. At approximately 11:30 p.m., she left the bar with this man. Around midnight, Bruce returned to the babysitter’s home to provide additional money and requested that the babysitter continue watching her children for the remainder of the night. Shortly after, she was seen leaving the babysitter’s residence and has not been heard from since. Authorities have identified the man Bruce was with that night. Following her disappearance, he traveled to Atlanta, Georgia, where he was questioned by law enforcement while in custody on unrelated charges, including marijuana possession and driving with a suspended license. While police have not publicly released his name, he has been labeled a person of interest in the case. The man stated that he and Bruce parted ways after leaving the bar, and he did not see her again.
