Daniel Yuen disappeared on February 8, 2004, from Running Springs, California. He was last seen leaving the Cedu School, located on Seymour Road, at 10:45 a.m. without any belongings or identification. Daniel had been sent to the Cedu School, a therapeutic boarding school for troubled youth, just ten days earlier on the recommendation of a psychiatrist. His parents had sought help for him after he was diagnosed with depression. A month after Daniel’s disappearance, there were potential sightings of him panhandling in Hilltop Community Park in San Diego, California. Scent dogs brought to the area confirmed his scent, but a search of the park yielded no further clues. The Cedu School declared bankruptcy and closed all of its seven campuses in the spring of 2005.
