Summary:

David Ryo Miyamoto last communicated with friends via social media on January 30, 2023. He has since deactivated his cell phone and social media accounts. Two Check Welfare requests were unsuccessful. On the second attempt, law enforcement was provided access to the his apartment by property management. His apartment was still furnished and contained his personal belongings. He is believed to be traveling in a white 2020 Hyundai Ioniq Limited displaying NC Plate: JCC-4525. He has a full front and back torso tattoo.

    I added in his Find A Grave Memorial page as a secondary source and while it does not give us much information as a whole, it does show us photos of the life that David had. It is kind of surprising that he has a Find A Grave page even though is case is relatively new. Often times with the older cases you may see Find A Grave pages, but not so much with the newer cases. I am going to safely assume that he was likely declared dead in 2024 by his family and this is there way of honoring him. I do know some local underwater archaeology groups in South Carolina that I may reach out to see if they look into this one.

    I did reach out to Adam Brown Adventures (youtuber) who does underwater archaeology and he is aware of Davids case and plans to look for him soon.
