Deputies responded to a 911 call from Derek who reported being very sick and needing an ambulance but could not identify his location before the call disconnected due to a dead phone battery. His vehicle was found in the Tidewater Trailhead area near County Roads 336 and 337. Extensive searches using K-9 teams & aerial support were conducted in the surrounding wooded areas, but he has not been located. Hunters & travelers in the area are asked to remain alert for anyone lost or in need of medical attention. If you observe anyone who may be lost, disoriented, or injured please contact 911 immediately. Our priority is Derek’s safe recovery. Any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could help bring him home safely.
