Donna was a resident of Crocker, Missouri, a suburb of St. Louis, in 1992. She was visiting her uncle in Belleville, Illinois at the time of her disappearance; she had been there for a few weeks. She was last seen walking along east Monroe Street near south Illinois Street in Belleville at approximately 1:30 a.m. on February 18, 1992. She had departed her brother's residence and was planning to meet her boyfriend, 20-year-old Jeffrie T. Mezo, at a nearby fast-food restaurant at the time. Donna wanted a short visit with him before her brother drove her back to Missouri. She never arrived at her destination and has not been heard from again. She left behind her personal belongings, including her makeup and purse.
