Summary:

Gina Brooks disappeared from Fredericktown, Missouri, on August 5, 1989. She arrived home around 10:00 p.m. after attending her brotherโ€™s baseball game, then left on his red 10-speed bicycle to visit a friend. Witnesses saw a dark-colored station wagon with Missouri plates stop near Gina by a church. She briefly spoke with the driver before continuing south on Mine La Motte Street. Moments later, a scream was heard. Her bicycle was later found abandoned in a yard on the 300 block of High Street, five blocks from her home. She was never seen again. In 1999, Nathan D. โ€œDannyโ€ Williams was charged with Ginaโ€™s murder after a witness identified him as the man sitting in the back of the station wagon. Bryant Squires, the suspected driver, allegedly confessed on his deathbed that he and Williams abducted and killed Gina. Timothy R. Bellew, a friend of both men, falsely claimed Gina was buried in an abandoned meat freezer on his fatherโ€™s property but later admitted to lying. Williams pleaded not guilty, and charges against both him and Bellew were later dropped due to lack of evidence.
