Heather Bloom was last seen in Berkeley, California, on October 1, 2005. Her mother, Phyllis, had brought her from Brooklyn, New York, to visit her sister, Shari. On the day of her disappearance, police responded to an argument between Phyllis and Shari. Heather was present at the time, but after the situation was resolved, Phyllis returned to New York, leaving Heather in Shari’s care. That was the last confirmed sighting of her. In June 2009, Phyllis reported she had not heard from Heather or Shari since 2005. By then, Shari had moved, and it took months for authorities to locate her. When police contacted her in March 2010, she refused to let them inside or allow them to see Heather, insisting she was fine. Neighbors at Shari’s new residence said they had never seen Heather. Shortly after police attempted a welfare check, Shari moved again. Authorities later learned she had relocated to Norway on a student visa around 2016. Despite multiple attempts by law enforcement and the media to reach her, she has not responded, and Heather’s whereabouts remain unknown.
