Heather Cameron was last seen in Shasta County, California, on August 18, 2012. She was reportedly heading to the Keswick Dam area, with her ex-boyfriend, Daniel Lusby. Beginning at 2:50 p.m. that day, Heather made three desperate 911 calls from the Keswick Dam Off-Highway Vehicle Park area using Lusby’s phone. During the calls, she stated that she had been drugged. A male voice could be heard in the background. The region is known for its rugged terrain, with steep hills and canyons that contribute to poor cell phone reception. Heather has not been seen or heard from since. Lusby has been formally interviewed by law enforcement three times in connection with Heather’s disappearance. He claimed that he and Heather became separated and that she had his phone with her at the time. Lusby has not been charged but remains a person of interest in the case. His phone, which Heather used to make the 911 calls, has never been recovered.
