Heather Hodges, a 22-year-old mother, was reported missing from her residence on Shady Lane in Rocky Mount, Virginia, on April 11, 2012. Her live-in boyfriend, Paul R. “Scooter” Jordan II, reported her missing two days after she was last seen. Heather left behind her two-year-old daughter, as well as all of her personal belongings, including her car, purse, and cellphone. She has not been seen or heard from since. Authorities have described Heather’s disappearance as “highly suspicious.” In June 2012, after executing a search warrant at her home, investigators discovered evidence of a “violent event” on the premises. In April 2022, Paul Jordan was indicted on charges of second-degree murder and concealing a body in connection with Heather’s case. He was convicted in June 2023 and sentenced to 35 years in prison in August. Heather’s body has never been recovered. Due to the evidence and circumstances, foul play is strongly suspected in her case.
