His car was found parked at Little Wild horse Canyon Trailhead. Goblin Valley State Park has requested if you visit the area, to be on the look out for him, as searches have been done, without finding any clues of what happen to him. As of August 22, 2024, search efforts have scaled back and sadly he has still not been located. Howard Stone is presumed deceased, though his remains have not yet been recovered
