On November 1, 2001, Song attended a Halloween party at Playerโs Nite Club in State College, Pennsylvania. She left around 2:00 a.m., visited a friendโs home for two hours, and was dropped off at her apartment at 4:00 a.m. She has not been seen or heard from since. Her friends reported her missing on November 4 after three days of no contact. Investigators found most of her belongings, including her backpack and phone, in her apartment, but her keys and purse were missing. There was no sign of foul play or struggle. In 2003, Hugo Selenski became a suspect after human remains, believed to belong to five to twelve victims, were found on his property. Selenski claimed that he and his associate, Michael Kerkowski, abducted Song, imprisoned her in a safe, and buried her body in Luzerne County. He also alleged that Kerkowski kept Songโs bunny ears as a โsouvenir.โ Kerkowskiโs remains were later found on Selenskiโs property.
