Summary:

Rowe was last seen in Crestone, Colorado, on July 30, 2004. He reportedly left town intending to visit a hot spring but never returned. On August 3, his Jeep was discovered abandoned on a road off Colorado 17. The vehicle contained hiking and camping gear, with the keys left inside. Authorities suspect Rowe may have attempted to walk back to Crestone. Records indicate he made a bank transaction on August 2 in Villa Grove, Colorado. At the time of his disappearance, Rowe was the co-owner of Earthstar Co-Op, a natural foods store and restaurant in Crestone. Shortly before he went missing, he attended a weekend β€œempowerment seminar” hosted by Landmark Education in Denver. Loved ones noted significant changes in his behavior following the seminar, describing him as appearing delusional, scattered, and ungrounded. Landmark Education has faced allegations in the past of engaging in cult-like behavior. In the fall and winter of 2004 there were reported sightings of him in Alamosa, Salida, and Poncha Springs, Colorado. His case remains unsolved.
