Summary

Janteyl disappeared from Newark, Delaware on February 3, 2010. She left school early that day because she didn't feel well. She was planning to return to school in the late afternoon for after school activities and then her brother would pick her up so they could meet their mother in Philadelphia for church. But when Janteyl’s brother got to the family's home at Autumn Park Apartments, she was nowhere to be found. The apartment door was unlocked and there was no indication of forced entry or a struggle. None of her belongings were missing. Her family believes she left the apartment voluntarily, intending to be back soon, but something prevented her from returning. Phone records revealed that Janteyl received a phone call that afternoon from someone that lasted a few minutes. The number was traced back to a burner phone and the caller was never positively identified. A few days later, Janteyl’s cell phone pinged near a relative of the father of her unborn baby. This individual has been interviewed by police and hasn't been named as a suspect in her case.
