Purvis was last seen near the 1100 block of Carnation Street in Jackson, Mississippi on December 3, 2020. She made several urgent phone calls to her grandfather, pleading with him to come and pick her up. In the span of just fifteen minutes, she called him multiple times, insisting that he hurry. However, by the time he arrived at the location, Purvis was no longer there. Her boyfriend later claimed that she had asked him to inform her grandfather that she had found another ride and would call later, but that call never came. Her grandfather attempted to contact her several times, but she did not answer. After the third attempt, her phone had been turned off, and all communication ceased. Purvis has not been seen or heard from since. Witnesses reported that she was last seen leaving the area in a dark blue Chevrolet Tahoe SUV driven by an African-American male. Her disappearance is believed to be possibly connected to the murder of her friend she had witnessed just weeks prior. Her case remains unsolved.
