On March 18, 1990, 15-year-old twins Jeannette and Dannette Millbrook spent the day with family in Augusta, Georgia. They lived on the 1800 block of Cooney Circle off Olive Road and attended church that morning with their mother, Mary Louise Sturgis (Louise), and siblings before picking up lunch from Churchโs Chicken. Over the meal, they mentioned needing bus fare, and their godfather, Ted, generously offered them $20, which also gave them extra money for snacks. At 3:00 p.m., the twins left for Tedโs house on Forest Street, where they visited briefly before stopping at their cousin Juanitaโs house on Tin Cup Lane, asking if she could walk with them. Her mother, concerned about the time, declined. They then visited their older sister on Picquet Avenue, making the same request, but she was unable to go with them. As the evening approached, they stopped at the Pump-N-Shop at MLK Boulevard and 12th Street. The store clerk, Gloria, a family friend, recalled seeing them purchase chips and sodas before leaving. That was the last confirmed sighting of the sisters, and they have remained missing ever since.
