Foster was last in contact with her family on March 28, 2006, while at her residence in the 1000 block of Cornerstone Place in North Las Vegas, Nevada. Her live-in boyfriend, Peter B. Todd, claimed she left for a dentist appointment on April 3, and when he returned home, she and her belongings were gone. After her disappearance, Foster’s family learned she had been trafficked from Canada to New Jersey and eventually to Las Vegas by Donald Vaz, a man she met in Calgary. Initially, she planned to return to Canada but stayed in Nevada and became involved in prostitution. She later moved in with Todd, who was reportedly abusive and acted as her pimp. Foster visited her family in Canada for Christmas in 2005 but returned to Las Vegas that same day. Shortly before her disappearance, she told her sister she wanted to leave Todd. Foster has not used her phone, bank accounts, or credit cards since March 28, 2006, and missed her sister’s wedding reception in April. Her family fears for her safety, and her case remains unsolved.
