His parents, Joseph and Krystal, reported autistic and non-verbal Joe Clyde Daniels missing on 4/4/2018. Independent witness saw Joe next to the roadway near 1112 Garner's Creek Road around 0100 hrs on 4/4/2018. His father confessed to killing Joe and disposing of his body. Following his trial, Joseph was found guilty of second-degree murder, felony murder, aggravated child abuse, evidence tampering and initiating a false report. He faces life in prison without the possibility of parole. Krystal was set to stand trial in March 2022. Before the trial could take place, she pleaded no contest to the four charges against her. She was sentenced to 15 years in prison. The body of Joe Clyde Daniels has yet to be located.
