Summary:

Josephine and her younger sister, Joyce, disappeared while staying at a family friendโ€™s apartment in Norman, Oklahoma. The family friend reported them missing on October 2, 1983, claiming he had been out while the sisters planned to visit the library, but when he returned, they were gone. The girls have not been seen or heard from since. Their father tragically died in a car accident in 1968 while their mother was pregnant with Joyce, leaving Josephine as an infant. Their mother placed the sisters with their paternal grandparents, while their older sister, Rosetta, lived with her maternal grandmother. In 1975, the family reunited when their mother remarried, but the home was again disrupted when allegations arose that their stepfather had harmed Joyce and Josephine, leading to his removal. By 1983, the sisters moved to Norman and lived with the family friend who was granted temporary custody. It was during this time they vanished. Since their disappearance, there has been no activity linked to their names, birth certificates, or Social Security numbers.
