Summary

In the late summer of 2019, Joshua Simiskey left his father’s home in Tacoma, Washington, and headed for Port Angeles, Washington. During his time in Port Angeles, Joshua met a woman, and things began to take a strange turn. The last known communication from Joshua occurred on October 6, 2019, when he left a voicemail for his father stating that he had given away his car and other possessions. On October 10, Joshua was last seen by park rangers in Olympic National Park, walking barefoot. The rangers gave him a ride and dropped him off at the Shadow Mountain General Store, where they observed him walking away on foot. This marks the last confirmed sighting of Joshua. Earlier in October, Simiskey’s mother deposited money into his bank account after he expressed a desire to assist the woman he had met. She has not heard from him since that time. Following his disappearance, Simiskey’s belongings were found in the possession of the woman. She claimed that Simiskey was on a “journey of self-discovery” and would return home when he was ready.
