Kandis was last seen on July 15, 2021, in Salt Lake City, Utah, when she vanished at the age of 16. Now 19, she can visit any police station to have her missing person status removed. At the time of her disappearance, she was staying at the Odyssey House/Youth Center. After leaving the facility, Kandis was spotted at several locations before the case went cold, including Vine Street Apartments in Murray, Utah; 820 Apartments in Salt Lake City, Utah; the area around North Temple in Salt Lake City; and the final sighting in the Tooele, Utah area.
