Summary:

Kathleen disappeared with her son, Royce. They were last seen together in Tulsa, Oklahoma on March 23, 1979. Kathleen worked at Roger's Records in the 5000 block of north Peoria Avenue and had access to concert tickets as a result of her job. At 11:30 p.m. on the day of their disappearance, she called some friends and said she was going to bring them tickets and would be there within an hour. Kathleen was driving her father's car, a brown four-door 1969 Chrysler sedan. She and Royce never arrived and have never been heard from again.

According to Charley Report "On March 25, Kathleen's father's vehicle was found locked and abandoned at the corner of Ute Street and Peoria Avenue in Tulsa. It was parked crookedly, which is uncharacteristic of her driving"

I updated the case summary portion, the vehicle was locked and abandoned at the corner of Ute Street and Peoria Avenue. It was said in the Charley Report that she had a male acquaintance that was involved in criminal activity. In her vehicle, the police found baby bottles and clothing untouched. Her home was also undisturbed and their was no signs of a struggle. This case has not been talked about in Tulsa at least from what I could tell.

Royce Hensen Kathleen Hensen Last seen: March 29th 1979 This case hits home for me because I grew up in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma which is right outside of Tulsa and I know the area where the Hensens went missing, it is a dangerous now and it was a dangerous area in 1979. I read through various sources online that the family at the time was cash strapped, Kathleen was only making 550 a month and she was having to feed herself, Royce and Eanon (other son) and take care of them ect and she had a very abusive boyfriend who has never been named by police. He was involved in drug trafficking in Tulsa and was not a great person. On the day she disappeared, she had brought Royce with her and she was enroute give some friends some concert tickets. At the time she worked at Rogers records which was in North Tulsa at the time. She never made it and a few days later her fathers car (the car she was driving) was found parked awkwardly at a gas station on Peoria and Ute avenue which is roughly north central Tulsa just north of downtown. Orignally it was thought that she was a run away however, given the circumstances her family and the police began to suspect otherwise. It was noted that when police checked the car, their was baby bottles, clothing along with some other items that had been left undisturbed. When the police checked her home, it too was found undisturbed and their was no sign of a struggle. Foul play is suspected in her case. In recent years, her case has not made local news, however, it did in 2008, when her father and brother reached out to the news to discuss the case a bit. At that time, they were hoping new advances in DNA technology would help solve the case. I could not track down her boyfriends name and from what I could gather never could any of websleuthers who had done research on her case. Additionally, not too much information is out their online about her case sadly. The family does believe that Kathleen is likely dead, but they wonder if Royce is still alive.
