Keith’s mother received a call from her ex-husband on the morning of September 6, 2018, informing her that their son, had not shown up for work. Keith was employed as an oil field flowback supervisor at a completions site in Crockett County, approximately 15 miles north of Ozona. At first, she thought he might have been visiting friends or out on a date. However, when repeated calls to his cellphone went straight to voicemail, her concern grew. As hours passed with no word from him, she filed a missing person report in Ozona. Later that afternoon, the Texas Department of Public Safety provided troubling news. At 9:39 p.m. the night before, Keith had been involved in a two-vehicle crash in Sutton County. According to the DPS crash report, his vehicle crossed the center median, became airborne, and collided with another car. Both vehicles spun multiple times, and the other driver sustained injuries. The driver of the second vehicle reported that Keith left the scene. Since that night, he has not been seen or heard from.
