Kelsey Berreth, a 29-year-old mother from Woodland Park, Colorado, disappeared on November 22, 2018. She was last seen that Thanksgiving morning at a grocery store with her daughter. Later that day, Patrick Frazee, her fiancé, picked up their daughter and told investigators he hadn’t seen Kelsey since. He claimed she called to break up, and they exchanged texts afterward. On November 25, Berreth’s phone pinged in Gooding, Idaho. Investigators found Frazee had been in contact with Krystal Kenney, with whom he was having an affair. Kenney testified that Frazee, frustrated with previous attempts, took Kelsey’s life that Thanksgiving. He then called Kenney to clean up the scene, and she took Berreth’s phone to Idaho, sending misleading messages before destroying it. Frazee was arrested a month later and charged with first-degree murder, solicitation to commit murder, and tampering with a deceased body. In 2019, he was sentenced to life in prison plus 156 years. Kenney pled guilty to tampering with evidence and was released in 2021. Kelsey’s remains have not been found.
