Richerson was last seen at her residence in Muskogee, Oklahoma on May 25, 2018. She was preparing for Rocklahoma. One of her roommates, Carl Bryce, said they'd gone to Rocklahoma as planned, and then Richerson left with an unidentified female. However, cellular phone records indicate Richerson's phone never left Muskogee. Investigators learned Bryce used Richerson's Oklahoma Access Card after her disappearance. He and Richerson's other roommate, Cody Ray Campbell, had also given away some of Richerson's belongings in the weeks before she was reported missing. Authorities received a tip from Campbell suggesting that Bryce was involved in Richerson’s death. During their investigation, police noted a pile of dirt in the backyard and detected signs of possible decomposition. In July 2018, investigators conducted a search of the home but did not locate her remains. That same day, first-degree murder charges were filed against an unnamed “John Doe” suspect in connection with Richerson’s case. However, no arrests have been made.
