LaMoine Allen and Kreneice Jones disappeared while playing outside a grocery store in Woodville, Mississippi, on May 10, 1992. Kreneiceβs family, who lived in Edgard, Louisiana, had traveled to Woodville to attend a Motherβs Day church service and dinner. Around 4:00 p.m., LaMoine and Kreneice were last seen playing in front of Jimmy Jackson Grocery Store, located about four miles east of Woodville on Highway 24. Both children vanished without a trace and have never been seen again. Although LaMoine and Kreneice were not related and had not previously known each other, their families were connected. LaMoine was living with his aunt and uncle, who served as his unofficial guardians while his father was in the military and his mother attended school out of town. Kreneiceβs mother was dating the uncle of LaMoineβs uncle, and the two families were friends. Despite ongoing investigations, no suspects have ever been identified, and the childrenβs disappearances remain unsolved.
