Summary

Armstead was last seen in the 4200 block of Springleaf Lane in Memphis, Tennessee, at approximately 11:00 a.m. on July 28, 2012. She has not been heard from since. On July 31, her black Acura TL was found abandoned and burned in a rural area near Little Simmons Road in Clarksdale, Mississippi. Armstead’s estranged husband, Tony Bledsoe, is considered a person of interest in her case. They were in the midst of a divorce. Armstead had been in the process of relocating from Memphis to St. Louis, Missouri, at the time of her disappearance, seeking to escape Bledsoe following a violent incident in which he broke her jaw. Armstead had an active order of protection against Bledsoe, and after her disappearance, he was arrested for violating this order. Despite the order requiring him to stay away from her, she was seen with him twice on the day she went missing. The case remains unsolved, and Coahoma County, Mississippi, law enforcement is leading the investigation into her disappearance.
