Faulkner was last seen in Troy, Alabama, on July 4, 2016. She had recently moved back in with her parents after breaking up with her live-in boyfriend, Blane Gralheer Jr., whom she had expressed fear of, stating, “If something happens to me, it’s him.” On the day she vanished, Faulkner stayed home while her family attended a barbecue. She last spoke to her parents around 5:30 p.m., the same time she made her final Facebook post. She has not been seen or heard from since. Although Faulkner didn’t take a vehicle, her purse, cellphone, and tablet disappeared with her. Her social media accounts and bank activity ceased after her disappearance. Faulkner and Gralheer had been arguing on Facebook the day she went missing. He submitted to a polygraph test, but the results were inconclusive, and he later refused a second test. Gralheer remains a person of interest, though his direct involvement is unclear.
