Summary

Lola Fry was last seen leaving Greenwood, Indiana, in her red and black 1990 Mitsubishi Eclipse with personalized license plates reading “LOLA.” She has never been heard from again and her car also remains missing. One account of Fry’s disappearance suggests she attended a party at her hairstylist’s apartment in east Indianapolis, where she overdosed and lost consciousness. Fry was allegedly carried to a car, and her ex-boyfriend, John Ryker, drove her away. Ryker told authorities he left Fry at his residence before heading to work at 7:00 a.m., and that she and her car were gone when he returned. Police found no evidence of foul play during searches of Ryker’s home and business. On the day she vanished, Fry was scheduled to give a final deposition in a class-action lawsuit against an Indianapolis plastic surgeon. Fry, a former exotic dancer, and several colleagues had accused the surgeon, a club owner, and Dow Corning of malpractice and fraud. After her disappearance, the lawsuit was dropped. Authorities have identified a suspect, but no charges have been filed due to a lack of evidence.
