Sarabia, who was 21 years old and 8 months pregnant at the time of her disappearance, was last seen on November 26, 2004, after attending a Thanksgiving party at her ex-girlfriend’s cousin’s home in the 300 block of Babcock Road. During the party, she got into an altercation with a female guest and was asked to leave. Another guest, Richard Anthony Chabes Jr., offered to give her a ride home, and the two left together.

Between 1:30 and 2:00 a.m., Sarabia called her mother, stating she was at Chabes's apartment and that he planned to take her home. However, Sarabia never arrived, and she has not been heard from since. Chabes later told police that around 6:00 a.m., hours after she spoke to her mother, Sarabia chose to walk home from his apartment at Kingswood Manor Apartments on Callaghan Road, about a mile and a half from her residence, instead of accepting a ride.
