Summary

Weaver was last seen on August 10, 2018, in the 2600 block of Stearns Street in Simi Valley, California. That morning, he sent a text message to a friend indicating that something “crazy” was happening and expressing a desire to talk “while I have the chance.” This message was traced to the Las Rosas Overlook area near Stunt and Saddle Peak Roads in the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. He has not been heard from since. His silver BMW was subsequently found abandoned on Topanga Tower Motorway, near the area from which he sent his last text. In January 2019, hikers discovered the vehicle’s keys on a hiking trail approximately 25 feet from where the car was located. Additional items believed to be connected to Weaver were also recovered: his father found fragments of a torn white t-shirt, which he believes matches what Weaver was last wearing, and a red Los Angeles Angels hat in Weaver’s size was found nearby, which his family believes belonged to him. The Los Angeles Police Department is investigating Weaver’s case, which remains unsolved.
