She had been in a rehab facility for months prior to Hurricane Harvey. She required assistance for everyday tasks and had been in that physical state for quite some time, needing physical therapy to strengthen her muscles. Her βboyfriendβ claims they argued, and that she packed all her belongings by herself while they continued arguing, then took off down the road. Cell reception was down due to the hurricane, so he claims he couldnβt call for help and that his phone was missing. Instead of involving a neighbor or someone nearby, he got in his vehicle and drove miles down the road, leaving her there, to fetch a police officer.
