Nancy Kirkpatrick Last Seen: April 21, 1976 Age: 16 Precursor: The Nancy Kirkpatrick case is often connected with the Robyn Pettinato case, just because the towns they lived in were within 20 minutes of each other and eye witnesses mentioned seeing both girls in Alaska. To date, police have not conclusively connected the two. Circumstance: On April 21st 1976, she had just finished a babysitting job and was last seen walking home. This was the last confirmed sighting of her, as she never made it home that night. According to the Charley Report, she was your typical teenager at the time, a hippie who embraced the counter culture. Additionally, it was noted that she was a chronic runaway who would leave for periods of time before the police would catch her. At the time she disappeared, it was thought that she had ran away again. It is further noted by several sources mentioned below that on the day she disappeared, she had just been brought back to her grandmothers house after running away and being caught by the police. In 1983, it was noted that a former teacher of hers swore that he saw her and Robyn at a bar in Alaska, however, when police searched the area, they didn’t find the two. In an article written by Interlake in 2015, a former Flathead County Detective stated “Detectives speculated a more plausible scenario was that both Robin Pettinato and Nancy Kirkpatrick may have been abducted by a passing motorist. It’s possible the two cases are related.” Beside the Interlake article, their has not been written about Nancy.
