Summary

Paul left his father’s home in the 3800 block of East Carol Circle in Mesa, Arizona on the evening of August 11, 2001. He was driving his father's silver Chevrolet pickup truck. On August 12, he visited his grandmother in Globe, Arizona. On August 14, Paul's father's truck was attempted to be pulled over for a minor traffic violation in Mammoth, Arizona. Before the responding officer could confirm the driver's identity, the truck drove away and a high-speed chase ensued. Police were unable to catch the driver. The next morning, the vehicle was found wrecked and abandoned about 300 yards off of Redington Pass near Mile Post 16.2. It was reported the truck was on its side, on a steep hill, with no known roads to the location of the truck. The windows and mirrors were broken, and there was damage to the undercarriage. The reporting party stated they could see keys and a wallet in the truck. Upon recovery of the vehicle, they later found Paul's wallet, keys, hat, and cell phone, as well as cigarettes' and a lighter. Paul did not smoke nor did he like the smell of cigarettes. He had cashed his last paycheck from work the day before he went missing, but the cash wasn't found in his wallet. His case remains unsolved. He is a Caucasian/Hispanic male with brown hair and hazel eyes. Paul may use the last names Brewer, Hernandez and/or Sanders-Brewer. He has a tattoo of the name "Hernandez" in the center of his back. He was last seen wearing a medium blue t-shirt with the word "Billabong" across the front, dark-colored denim shorts and white K-Swiss shoes.
