In 1994, Renee lived in Fresh Meadows, New York, and was studying nuclear medicine technology. On January 8, she was found wandering the streets of Queens, disoriented, and taken to Queens Center Psychiatric Hospital for evaluation. After her discharge that day, she went to her sister’s home on Wesley Avenue in Ocean City, New Jersey. Around 7:00 p.m., she abruptly left the house carrying a navy blue bathrobe, despite freezing temperatures. Renee was last seen around 9:00 p.m. at the Waterfront Bar in Somers Point. Her bathrobe was later found two blocks away. A bloodhound tracked Renee’s scent to an area between two homes on Central Avenue in Ocean City, but no further evidence was found. Renee’s sister reported that she had a breakup with her long-term partner which triggered the mental health crisis leading to her disappearance. She remains missing.
