Honeycut was last seen in Littcarr, Kentucky, on May 5, 2009. He left his home en route to a store, but was involved in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 160. His car ran off the road, went over a guardrail, and down an embankment. Witnesses reported seeing Honeycut exit the vehicle, visibly injured. He then walked up a hill to the main road and entered another vehicle near the Ivis Bible Church. By the time authorities arrived at the scene, Honeycut was no longer present, and he has not been heard from since. Few details are available regarding his disappearance. Honeycut is described as having blond hair and blue eyes. He has distinguishing tattoos: a panther on his right shoulder and a large eagle across his shoulder blades.
