Timperley was last seen during the early morning hours of February 2, 2016, at the care home where she resided in Okmulgee, Oklahoma. She went to bed at 10:00 p.m. but was reported to have gotten up multiple times during the night. Staff last saw her at 2:30 a.m. At 4:00 a.m., a staff member attempted to check on Timperley but found her door locked. Using the adjoining bathroom to access the room, they discovered it was empty. The window was open, and some of Timperley’s belongings were scattered across the yard. Staff immediately notified the police. In the days leading up to her disappearance, Timperley spoke on the phone with someone she referred to as “Uncle Charles.” She told staff that he was planning to pick her up and take her to a family funeral. However, authorities found no evidence of a relative by that name in her family. It is unclear whether this individual is connected to her disappearance.
