Age: 16
Height: 5'5"

Case Number: 82044560
Ruth made plans to meet two men at Sam's Food City at Carver Road and Teresa Street, three blocks from her home. She was last seen at approximately 8:45pm after she left her guardian's apartment on Clayton Avenue. She said she was walking to Sam's Food City to purchase a soft drink. Ruth did in fact arrive at the store, but vanished afterward. Ruth has a small cross tattoo on the web of her right hand between her thumb and index finger. Her ears are pierced. Her nickname is Ruthy.
It should be noted that Ruth met Loren Joseph Herzog right before she went missing. Herzog and a man named Wesley Howard Shermantine Jr. are the suspected in the disappearance of Ruth Leamon and it should be noted that both were convicted of murdering several females in the area that Ruth went missing during the 80s and 90s. Shermatine stated that helped to dispose of the remains while Herzog did the killings. Herzog was paroled in 2011, having gotten out of a 78 year sentence 14 years in due to a coerced confession. In 2012, he found out that Shermatine was turning against him to authorities and he committed suicide soon after. Foul play is suspected in Ruth Leamons case.
