Sarah Burton was last seen on July 16, 2018 in Joplin, Missouri. On July 11, 2018, Sarah got into a car accident in Pittsburg, Kansas, in the used SUV that her father had recently bought for her. On July 16, 2018, Burton was dropped off by a friend just after midnight at a service alley near 10th Street and Rex Avenue in Joplin, where she planned to walk the rest of the way to her parents’ home. She is described to have light brown hair and blue eyes and was 5'7" and 170 pounds at the time of her disappearance. The FBI Kansas City Division is assisting the Joplin Police Department with the Department’s on-going investigation into Sarah’s disappearance.
