Orton disappeared from her home in the 600 block of west 37th Avenue in Hobart, Indiana on July 5, 2020. At 7:44 p.m. on July 12, she was sighted at a CVS pharmacy at Lute and Willowcreek Road in Portage, Indiana. She was accompanied by an unidentified Caucasian woman wearing a black skirt or dress and black flip-flops. Orton didn't have a cell phone at the time of her disappearance. She has never been heard from again. She may have traveled to the Gary, Indiana area.
