Summary

Shelley Mook, a school teacher from Shelbyville, Tennessee, was last seen on February 28, 2011, between 3:30 and 4:00 p.m. after dropping her 6-year-old daughter, Lilli, off at her ex-husband Tyler Mook’s home. Tyler reported that Shelley was upset over suspicions of her boyfriend’s infidelity, stayed for an hour, then left to run errands, promising to return by 10:00 p.m. She never came back. Shelley had recently moved into a new apartment in Murfreesboro and was supposed to meet a maintenance worker that afternoon, but she never showed. Her car, a white 2006 Pontiac Grand Prix, was found abandoned and burned in a field near U.S. 41A southeast of Murfreesboro at 12:30 a.m. on March 1, 2011. Tyler and Shelley had a troubled relationship, with Tyler previously charged for attempting to run her off the road and suspected of vandalizing her home. After Shelley's disappearance, her relatives gained custody of Lilli. Tyler later moved to Florida and was convicted of second-degree attempted murder in 2014 after attacking his girlfriend. He remains a person of interest in Shelley’s case.
