Sunny went on a trip with Floyd Clifford "Cliff" Coates Jr., in a white 2004 Ford Explorer with the Iowa license plate number HGJ341 and a black rim on the back passenger side wheel, allegedly in route to Omaha, Nebraska. Sramek called her mother from a borrowed phone at 12:45 p.m. and said she was in Holdrege, Nebraska. She was never heard from again. Floyd gave 2 stories that she vanished in Carter Lake, Iowa and then changed it to a gas station in Omaha Nebraska.
