Tameka Norris, who has been diagnosed with a mental illness, went missing after purchasing a plot of land in Tres Piedras, New Mexico. Norris missed a flight from North Carolina to visit her mother in Columbus, Ohio, but called to say she was still on her way. However, she never arrived. On October 14, 2023, Norris blocked her mother and her aunt on Facebook, and they have not heard from her since. Before losing contact, Norris’ mother discovered that she had purchased a small plot of land in Tres Piedras Estates that lacked basic amenities such as running water, a septic system, and shelter.
